This guide helps you find official owner information and prepare a better service conversation. It does not provide a repair procedure, select a maintenance interval, or establish whether a vehicle is safe to drive.

Start with the manufacturer's official resource

Use a manufacturer's own owner-information page as your starting point, rather than choosing a document just because its cover shows a similar car. The following are official U.S. resources; availability varies by vehicle and document type.

• BMW: BMW USA provides a VIN-based lookup for digital owner's manuals for select model years. Use the official BMW owner's-manual page and follow its vehicle-selection prompts.
• Porsche: Porsche explains how to find owner information online using vehicle selections or a VIN, and through My Porsche for a linked vehicle. Start with Porsche's official owner's-manual guidance.
• Mercedes-Benz: Mercedes-Benz USA provides a public service and warranty manual index organized by year and model, with the available document types listed for each selection. Check the document's own title instead of assuming every link is an owner's manual.

If a resource asks for your VIN, enter it only in the appropriate private manufacturer or shop channel. You do not need to post it in a public comment to ask where to look. Do not assume a manual covers your car simply because a search engine places it first.

Check the selection before reading further

Compare the year, model, market, and other vehicle-selection details requested by the official source with your vehicle's information. If you are unsure which version applies, stop at that uncertainty and ask for help. A guessed selection is not a reliable foundation for a service decision.
